When battling a lvl 9 mario, let him knock you off the edge, then, as you get back close to the ledge mario will attempt to jump and hit you down for a ko, when kirby or jigglypuff, you can aviod this. Just float backward when he jumps, with good timing, off the edge mario goes. I took me 3 times but its not too hard once you get it.

This also works with brawl (not to go off topic), but only with real players because CPU's don't really do it.

I have a trick like that, but it's pretty much useless.

Level nine Ness -> Jungle Japes -> Stand there and Ness will jump towards you; causing him to fall in a gap and land in the water.

Sticking on 1 strategy isn't really useful,tho.You will always try to avoid their moves and waiting for the right moment.Doesn't looks like the game would be fun then..
